Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for Tier 1 Delivery Partners for its Non-Infrastructure for Capital Investment Programme which will run for up to eleven years and is worth up to £360 million.

Pipeline inspection specialist JD7, a subsidiary of Aquam Corp, has been awarded a framework contract with Scottish Water which will see it carry out condition assessments and inspect pipelines across Scotland.

Carillion has attributed a fall in new first-half orders plus probable orders of £1.0 billion from £3.2 billion in 2014 to an expected pause in public sector contract awards due to the UK General Election.

Investment funds managed by Searchlight and Duke Street have acquired controlling interests in Fork Rent Limited and One Call Hire Limited - combining the businesses will create one of the UK’s largest providers of rental equipment to the construction industry.

£26 million Morpeth flood scheme opens

Morpeth flood scheme 1The Morpeth flood scheme which opens this week will protect residents by storing millions of gallons of flood water upstream - one of the largest projects of its kind built by the Environment Agency.

Black & Veatch is about to start work on a major £16 million upgrade of the Muirdykes water treatment works in Renfrewshire for Scottish Water.
