Leicester-based company Utility Bidder Ltd has applied to Ofwat for water supply and sewerage licences to operate in the retail business sector.
The synopsis of the business plan published by the water sector regulator says that Utility Bidder Ltd will enter the non-household retail market to offer water, sewerage and trade effluent services to complement its well-established energy management and brokerage services.
“Customers will benefit from a multi-utility service focussed on a renowned level of customer service and expertise in delivering cost savings”, the synopsis says.
Deadline to make representations or objections to Ofwat with respect to the application is 16th February 2018.
