World Bank: Danube Region countries face twin challenges of providing water to millions & meeting EU laws
A new report from the World Bank says that many countries in the Danube River basin face a double challenge of meeting the high standards of the European environmental acquis (the accumulated legislation, legal acts and court decisions which constitute EU law) while extending sustainable water services to all their citizens.
