Water industry regulator Ofwat has published details of the water companies AMP6 business plans for the services they plan to deliver for 2015-20 as part of the price review process.

Leading NGO WWF is warning that a third of England’s rivers are in danger of long term damage that could ruin the country’s environment, landscapes and wildlife if new legislation comes into force without important safeguards in place.

Ofwat revokes water supply licence

Water industry regulator Ofwat has announced that the Water Supply Licence of Satec Limited will be revoked with effect from 26 December 2013, following the company’s entry into administration in June 2012 due to an inability to pay its debts.

The Leader of the House of Commons has announced that the date of the Second Reading debate for the Water Bill which is currently working its way through Parliament will be Monday 25 November 2013.

Severn Trent appoints new chief executive

The Board of Severn Trent, the UK's leading provider of water and waste water has today announced the appointment of Liv Garfield, currently CEO of BT’s Openreach, as the next Chief Executive to replace the Tony Wray when he retires in spring 2014.
