More industry experts have been confirmed to speak at this year’s keynote Institute of Water Annual Conference and Exhibition next month.
The conference, which will take place from June 5-6, 2014 in the At-Bristol Science Centre, Bristol, will focus on ‘delivering great service’ both inside and outside today’s water industry - including customer expectations of the future and what role technology can play.
Open to both Institute of Water members and non-members, the Annual Conference and Exhibition will offer the latest industry thinking, innovation, best practice, news and ideas.
Customer expectations in a changing world will be the hot topic for Martin Lunn, Supply Demand Strategy Manager at Northumbrian Water, David Seymour, Head of Market Development at Business Stream, Doug Johnson, Deputy Director of Applied Science and Scientific Consultancy at the Met Office and David Oliviant, Chairman of the Major Energy Users Council Water Action Group.
Other experts include Chris Jones, Research and Development Manager at Northumbrian Water, Professor Tom Curtis, Professor of Biological Engineering at Newcastle University and Chris Sayers, Chair of Northumbria University, will be examining the impact of technological advances on tomorrow’s customers.
Also featuring at the event is Mark Enzer, Group Practice Manager at Mott MacDonald, who will be addressing customer service in the water industry.
Speakers focusing on customer service from outside the water industry include Michael Auliar, Fleet Sales Director of Nissan and Bob Evans, Communications Chief at Oracle.
Mary Gober, founder of Mary Gober International, is one of the four keynote speakers at the conference. She is an internationally-renowned expert in helping organisations to implement their service strategy, and improve their service ethos, relationships and interactions with customers.
The newly-announced speakers join an impressive line-up of leading industry figures which includes Dame Yve Buckland, Chair of the Consumer Council for Water, keynote speaker Cathryn Ross, Chief Executive of Ofwat, keynote speaker Jo Causon, Chief Executive of the Institute of Customer Service and keynote speaker Colin Skellett, Chief Executive of Wessex Water.
The programme will also feature ‘young speakers’ David Jarvis, Customer Relations Manager at Severn Trent and Ray Arrell, Renewable Energy Engineer at South West Water.
