UISCE EIREANN LOGOUisce Éireann has announced that its Water Services Strategic Plan 2050 (WSSP 2050) has been approved by the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne TD and subsequently adopted by the Uisce Éireann Board.

ANGLIAN WATER CONSTRUCTION WORK ON STRATEGIC PIPELINEAnglian Water's multi-million-pound water network – one of Europe’s biggest environmental projects and the most important in the company's history – has reached a major milestone of pipelaying completion across the entire southern stretch of its Strategic Pipeline.

THAMES WATER HQThames Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for a dedicated security patrol and response service to a single supplier worth an estimated £72 million (inc VAT).

UNITED UTILITIES LOGOUnited Utilities has awardedan AMP8 contract for the supply and delivery ofa single containerised sludge screening and declassification unit worth an estimated £558,000 (inc VAT).

Flood Re logoFlood Re, the joint initiative between the Government and insurers which aims to make the flood cover part of household insurance policies more affordable, has gone out to tender with a contract for household surveying and analysis services worth an estimated £120,000 (inc VAT).

FORESTRY ENGLAND LOGOForestry England, the operative component of the Forestry Commission, has gone out to tender with a contract to put a Buildings Compliance Framework in place worth £4.092 million (inc VAT) - 3 of the Lots are for water services with a combined total value of £1.41 million (inc VAT).

RAMSAR GLOBAL WETLANDS OUTLOOK 2025 REPORTA new report by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, the Global Wetland Outlook 2025: Valuing, conserving, restoring and financing wetlands (GWO 2025), warns that without urgent action, one fifth of the world’s remaining wetlands could vanish by 2050.
