SOUTHERN WATER LOGO 350Southern Water has reported the successful conclusion of its two-year Turnaround Plan – the company’s Final Update Report highlights how it has delivered “a short sharp boost in performance over 24 months” in the areas customers have said are most important to them.

Environment Agency genericThe number of water company pollution incidents across England rose sharply last year, a new report from the Environment Agency has found. The report shows consistently poor performance from all nine water and sewerage companies in the region, with serious pollution incidents in 2024 up 60% from 2023.

PAC REPORT WATER SECTOR REGULATION JULY 2025The House of Commons Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is warning that piecemeal regulators appear to be missing in action as failing water sector left to flounder, saying that regulators must provide much more clarity on plans to improve the financial precarity of the sector.
