Invasive plant species found in River Lagan

The Northern Ireland Environment Agency is asking River Lagan users to be on the look out for a highly invasive plant species after one of Ireland’s most unwanted species Floating Pennywort (Hydrocotyle ranunculoides) was discovered in the River Lagan.
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)’ s 2010 version of the Global Water Tool (GWT) is now available for public use.

Six water companies miss leakage targets

Six out of the 21 water companies in England and Wales have failed to meet their annual leakage targets according to the industry regulator Ofwat.
