HUBER’s ThermWin Technology harnesses latent energy in wastewater to heat and cool buildings

Learn more about how HUBER ThermWin® technology can be used to harness the latent energy in wastewater to heat and cool buildings.in this video from Noventa, HUBER’s exclusive North American distribution partner.

Heating and cooling of buildings contributes over 31% of greenhouse gas emissions - one of  the solutions to cut emissions and generate carbon-free energy can be harnessing the latent energy of wastewater to heat and cool buildings.

Over 168 billion litres of wastewater are discharged into the sewers in North America every day. By capturing just a fraction of the energy in that wastewater, we could generate 350 billion kilowatt hours of heating and cooling – enough energy to heat and cool the entire United States for a month and a half.

Noventa’s patented HUBER ThermWin® technology can extract carbon-free heat from the sewer to heat a building and reduce – or eliminate - fossil fuel combustion.

In summer, buildings typically use chillers to expel heat to the air through cooling towers. HUBER’sThermWin® technology can expel the heat to the sewer, thereby eliminating the need for cooling towers and reducing electricity and water consumption.

Buildings around the world are using HUBER ThermWin® technology to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs.
