Scottish Water is about to start a project which will improve its waste water infrastructure and tackle flooding which has affected two properties in Torrance, East Dunbartonshire.
Contractors working for Scottish Water will start a £420,000 project week in February to install a new sewer and construct eight manholes and a screen chamber.
The work, by the water company’s contractor amey Black and Veatch, will increase the capacity of the local network and tackle flooding issues in storm conditions which have affected the two properties.
The project is expected to take about 12 weeks to complete.
