MITIE Group acquires Dalkia’s Irish Facilities Management business

MITIE Group PLC Group has acquired the integrated Facilities Management (FM) business of Dalkia in Ireland. The Group has purchased the entire issued share capital of DFM Providers Limited and Dalkia Energy & Facilities Limited from Dalkia Ireland Investments Limited. Dalkia has retained its energy management, utilities, maintenance and lighting businesses in Ireland.

 

The acquisitions will make MITIE one of the major providers of integrated FM in Ireland. The businesses, which are focused on the provision of soft FM services within Ireland, will be renamed MITIE Facilities Management Ltd and MITIE Ltd. Following the acquisitions Dalkia and MITIE will work in strategic partnership toprovide a service for Irish clients. Mitie said the partnership would provide a stronger customer focused service by drawing on the soft FM skills of MITIE and the hard FM expertise of Dalkia Ireland.

Ruby McGregor-Smith, Chief Executive, MITIE Group PLC, commenting on the transaction, said:

“We are very pleased to have acquired this business as the next step in our strategy to develop MITIE’s ability to support our clients overseas. In partnership with Dalkia we will now be able to offer strategic outsourcing solutions to the Irish market.We are delighted to welcome the management team and all the employees to MITIE.”
