Ofwat has received a Water Supply and Sewerage Licence application from a commercial gas supplier targeting new business in the water sector ahead of the opening of the non-household retail market to competition in April next year.
The application is from Regent Water Ltd, an associated business within Regent Gas Ltd, an established commercial gas supplier in the UK since 1995. Regent Water has applied for a Water and Waste Water Supply Licence to cover all the areas in the England and Wales Market.
Regent Water is aiming to supply water and offer further services to small, medium sized and large corporation businesses, through independent energy brokers.
Deadline to submit any representations or objections is 18 October 2016.
