Iain McGuffog, previously Director, Strategy and Planning at Ofwat, has this month joined Bristol Water’s Executive team as Director of Strategy and Regulation.
He heads up the strategy and regulatory directorate and shapes the long term strategy for Bristol Water as well as the PR19 business plan.
With more than 15 years’ sector experience, prior to his work at Ofwat Iain McGuffog was Chief Economist at South West Water.
With a wealth of experience and expertise in economic regulation, economic analysis, business planning and market strategy, he has an extensive track record of focusing on long term outcomes, including through three water price reviews, that balanced customer, investor and stakeholder needs.
With the UK government demanding a 50% reduction in storm overflow spills by 2029, the era of reactive management is over.
