Retail sector: MoD water supplier applies to Ofwat for water and sewerage licences

Ancala Water Services (Defence) Ltd has applied to water industry regulator Ofwat for self-supply retail water and sewerage supply licences (WSSL).

Ancala intends to use the WSSL to supply the Ministry of Defence (MoD) sites in England where it is responsible for water and sewerage services and infrastructure.

Barnsley-headquartered Ancala Water Services is one of the three service providers managing water and waste services for the MoD estate providing improved services and efficiencies across the defence estate and ensuring the MoD’s performance in environmental compliance and sustainability is maintained to a high standard.
