Northern Ireland Water is looking to suppliers for input on the development of its legal services procurement strategy.
The water company has issued a Request for Information notice and is seeking RFI questionnaire responses from interested service providers who currently provide legal services. NI Water said the purpose of the RFI is to help NIW select the best procurement strategy to deliver legal services in the future. Types of services in scope include:
- strategic advice across regulation and compliance, procurement, PPP, pensions, environmental, health and safety, corporate and commercial, employment and litigation
- advice across litigation, employment, corporate and commercial, environmental, health and safety, property and planning and procurement
- advice in relation to public liability claims, employer’s liability claims, environmental liability claims, debt recovery, uninsured loss recovery, defence and prosecution of criminal offences, Health and Safety and Lands Tribunal
The RFI questionnaire is currently available to complete – requests should be made no later than 12th April.
The water company said the responses from the RFI questionnaire would help it select the best procurement strategy to deliver legal services in the future.
NI Water then expects to go out to tender with a contract for legal services in May 2019.
