Morrison Utility Services (MUS), the UK’s largest dedicated utility service provider and a part of M Group Services, has announced that its Yorkshire Water contract team has achieved over three million hours worked without a RIDDOR reportable injury incident. This significant health and safety milestone means that the MUS Yorkshire Water team has not had a reportable injury incident for over 16 months.
Contract Director Andrew Southern commented:
"Although we have achieved over two million-plus hours on several occasions, we are always working to improve on our health and safety performance. This milestone has been made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication that the entire team puts into the management and execution of health and safety. Well done to all concerned."
Executive Director John Edwards said: "We are delighted to see that our focus on creating a positive 'Zero Harm' health and safety culture has resulted in this fantastic achievement. Our commitment is to ensure that our people work safely and return home unharmed every day and this achievement underlines the team's commitment to health and safety. However, we recognise that there is no room for complacency and the team remains committed to ensuring that safety remains the number one priority."
