UK-headquartered South Staffordshire Plc, the integrated services group operating within the UK critical infrastructure and essential services markets, has received a prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Award for global health and safety excellence.

The 14-business strong Group that operates two regulated water utilities and a diverse portfolio of specialist businesses serving utilities and other essential service sectors, won a gold Award in the Occupational Achievement Sector, demonstrating its dedication to keeping employees, contractors and clients safe at work.
Now in its 69th year, and with almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, covering over seven million employees, the RoSPA Awards are the world’s largest health and safety awards programme.

The awards recognise the organisations and individuals who have set the highest standards in accident prevention.
Each RoSPA Award entrant is assessed against rigorous criteria, making South Staffordshire Plc a world leader in shaping safer, healthier workplaces.
Richard Brookes, Group Head of Health and Safety at South Staffordshire Plc said:
“We work hard to create the right conditions so our people can manage hazards and return home safely each day. Our StayingSafeTogether framework supports this through leadership accountability, clear expectations and proactive learning grounded in the reality of work.

This award is testament to our commitment and continued focus.”
Charley Maher, Group CEO at South Staffordshire Plc, commented:
“We are very proud to receive a RoSPA Gold Award, reflecting our strong internal systems to manage critical risk safety and keep our people safe, and giving our clients assurance they’re partnering with a Group that prioritises both risk management and workforce engagement to deliver results.”
