The new scheme will provide properties in Ashingdon, Essex with a brand new sewerage system, allowing residents to have the opportunity to connect to mains sewerage for the first time.

The scheme will help to reduce pollution in the neighbourhood caused by poor performing private drainage systems.

Anglian Water is installing over 65% of the new pipes in fields and private land.

Nicola Harvey, spokesperson for Anglian Water said that in addition to enabling residents to simplify their waste water usage, it will protect the area from flooding and pollutions in the future.
