Affinity Water is continuing to make progress with its Save our Streams campaign - 184,000 people have now signed up to SOS.

The water company says the campaign has reached 38 million people through national, local and social media coverage, billboards, adverts and in-person contacts.
Launched in April last year, SOS had 45,000 sign ups by June, which doubled to 90,000 in July - numbers have continued to climb since then to reach 184,000 today.
The sign ups have translated into substantial water reductions. During July and August 2021, a total of 1billion litres was saved, equivalent to one maximum peak day’s demand in those two months
The demand management team is planning 33 projects this year and is working in terms of a similar sized SOS2 campaign launching in May. Projects for 2022 include a new steering group for children, and using gamification to get its message across with the launch of a new Minecraft platform where young gamers can explore the water cycle and saving water at home.
