The Board of Speedy Hire has announced that it has appointed Mark Rogerson as Chief Executive with effect from today.
Mr. Rogerson is currently Chief Operating Officer of the Group, having been appointed to the Board in December 2013 – he joined Speedy from Costain Group PLC where he was Managing Director of the Natural Resources division.
His predecessor Steve Corcoran resigned following the discovery of a £5m hole in its accounts and accounting irregularities" in its international division last November. As previously announced, he will step down from the Board of Speedy and leave the Group with effect from today.
Ishbel Macpherson, Chairman, said:
"The Board and I are delighted that someone of Mark's calibre and drive has taken up the challenge to lead Speedy at this exciting point in its development. We look forward to working with him. On behalf of the Board I would also like to acknowledge Steve's significant contribution to Speedy over 25 years. Steve has been at the forefront in the transformation of Speedy and I would like to personally thank him for his commitment and leadership and wish him well in his future career."
