A series of events run by Anglian Water aims to bring key stakeholders together across several sectors in order to explore key issues, collaborate and stimulate innovation around water as a resource.
The water company is aiming to create a space where all these sectors can come together to work collaboratively on the challenges associated with water, such as drought, flooding, resource efficiency and enouraging behavioural change.
The first event, Growing Innovation from Water, Agriculture and Food, is taking place this Friday at the Lincolnshire Showground Grange-de-Lings in Lincoln.
It will be followed by three further seminars focused on different sectors:
- Driving collaboration in the supply chain - 8th April, The Nucleus, Saffron Walden
- Creating a spark for innovation in Energy and Water - 14th May, The Green Britain Centre, Norfolk
- The importance of smart technology in the world of water - 11th June, iCon Centre, Daventry
To ensure that the collaboration continues after the events, Anglian Water will also host an online platform for the sharing of information, development of research proposals, hosting of debates and reporting on progress.
An Innovation Summit in London on 18th July will bring all key stakeholders back together to share priorities, agree a plan of action and to get a youth perspective on the importance of innovation from schools across the Anglian Water region.
Also taking part in the events will be forty students from schools partnered with Anglian Water through Business Class, bringing the fresh perception of a new generation to the debate. Anglian will also be helping these students develop entries for the 2015 annual Tomorrow's Water Competition run by CIWEM.
The students will need expert support and guidance to help them to develop their innovative projects. Anglian Water are looking for companies able to help with this – for further information email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
