Specialist MEICA service provider Nomenca Limited, part of the North Midland group of companies, has achieved CE marking compliance.
Following a new European standard, steelwork contractors are now required to work to a specific ‘Execution Class’ suitable for their project, as determined by BS EN 1090-1. Nomenca Fabrication is now accredited up to and including EXC3.
The firm, which specialises in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) works, has purpose built facilities in Nottingham and Bristol.
Nomenca offer a specialist survey and fabrication service for mild steel and stainless steel sub-assemblies, access platforms, stairways and structures.
The department use 3d modelling along with StruCAD fabrication management software to ensure accurate designs. Coupled with early contractor involvement the team are regularly achieving substantial CAPEX savings for their clients and reducing health and safety risks as standard. All parts are manufactured offsite and delivered to site in one complete load for installation.

The North Midland group of companies is a national civil engineering, MEICA and building contractor with three operational divisions and its wholly owned subsidiary Nomenca. Nomenca, a key player in the UK water sector, operates nationally with regional offices in Mansfield, Warrington, Plymouth, Bristol, Leeds and St Austell.
Nomenca recently announced that it had won an extension to its South West Water MEICA NEC term service contract - the framework will now continue until April 2018. The work includes the provision of expertise in planning, design, equipment selection, installation and commissioning of hydraulic, clean and waste water process and packaged plant. Nomenca will also be providing Motor Control Centres , pipework / valves, cabling and steelwork.
Works also include asset renewal and refurbishment for both clean and dirty water schemes, new build works, asset optimisation and energy studies.
