National retailers tap into UK flood market

HYDROSACKSome of the largest UK-wide retailers, including B&Q and Homebase, have taken it upon themselves to relieve strain on local councils caused by flooding, according to flood product manufacturer Gravitas International. 

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, with input from other research councils, is running a a five-day Sandpit event in the water energy food nexus and has opened a  call for participants.

UK construction PMI hits 17 year high

The UK construction sector has enjoyed a near-record increase in activity with the best quarter of growth for 17 years according to the latest figures from the  Markit/CIPS Construction PMI.
