The Environment Agency has ordered Anglian Water and Northumbrian Water to pay a total of £575,000 to charities for breaking environmental laws – both companies have agreed to make the payments and have pledged to make improvements to avoid future offences.

Severn Trent now expects its net customer Outcome Delivery Incentive (ODI) rewards for the full-year 2016/17 to be ahead of previous guidance of £15 million, according to its latest trading update for the period 1 October to 31 December 2016 published today.

Irish Water marked the official opening of the Cavan Wastewater Treatment Plant yesterday, following a €14.5 million upgrade to the plant by the national utility.

Ofwat grants Waterscan retail market licence

Ofwat has granted water management specialists Waterscan Ltd a water supply and sewerage licence ahead of competitive retail market opening in April.
