South West Water starts work on £6m WTW scheme

Wendron11South West Water is starting work this month on a £6 million project at Tottiford Water Treatment Works, near Bovey Tracey, to install six new granular activated carbon filters, a new pumping station and a state-of-the-art ultraviolet disinfection system at the works.

G4S Utility & Outsourcing Services, a major provider of energy metering and outsourcing services in the UK, has today announced that it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by a holding company of First Reserve, a global private equity investment firm with USD $31 billion of aggregate capital raised since inception.

NI Water competes £2m trunk main project

NI Water has completed a new £2 million water pipeline – the Carland to Cookstown Water Trunk Main in County Tyrone, which will improve the local water supply infrastructure, as well as the security of the water supply in Cookstown and the surrounding areas.

Veolia Water Retail (UK) Ltd has applied to Ofwat for a water supply licence and sewerage licence ahead of the non-household retail market opening for business in April 2017.
