ElmvaleRow200x150Two major projects to tackle flooding that has affected 47 properties in the Springburn area of Glasgow have been completed as part of Scottish Water’s ongoing £250 million upgrade to the city’s waste water infrastructure.

Irish Water, in partnership with Cork County Council, is proposing to upgrade the Skibbereen Regional Water Supply Scheme to ensure that it is capable of meeting the current and future demands of the area.

NI Water completes £8m Newcastle WwTW upgrade

Northern Ireland Water has completed an £8 million upgrade at its Newcastle Waster treatment works.

Anglian Water has started work on a multi-million pound investment in Southend’s sewers which will see nearly 11km of sewer pipe throughout the town relined to protect the brickwork.

Hull water stationYorkshire Water has completed a £2.8 million upgrade of the Springhead water pumping station in HulL.

Severn Trent has published details of the full terms and conditions of its proposed acquisition of Dee Valley Water, together with the recommended actions to be taken by Dee Valley ordinary shareholders.

Wessex Water profits up in first half 2016

Wessex Water’s profits rose to £86.1m according to its half year results, with  the company continuing to be recognised as the leading water and sewerage provider for customer service and on track for another year of excellent performance. 

New figures released today by Business Stream, one of the UK’s largest non-domestic water suppliers, show the firm has saved its customers more than £37 million in discounts, water efficiency savings and energy costs over the past year.

Capital expenditure at Yorkshire Water increased by 78.2% in the six month period to 30 September 2016, rising to £175.5m compared to £98.5m for the same period last year, according to its interim results for the six months ended 30th September 2016.

Sutton & East Surrey Water is addressing its “disappointing performance on the Service Incentive Mechanism” which remains "our biggest single challenge", according to a statement by Chairman Jeremy Pelczer released on the company's progress to accompany the publication of its interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2016.
