Consulting engineer Grontmij has appointed a new UK managing director, following a management shake up which will see the current UK CMD move to head up Grontmij Denmark.

The London Assembly’s Environment Committee will meet representatives from Thames Water and other organisations tomorrow to discuss a range of issues, including last week’s rail flooding incident, the Tideway Tunnel and the latest Price Review.

Yorkshire Water has extended its partnership with npower after signing a new contract which will see half of its energy needs met through renewable electricity supplied by Drax-owned Haven Power.

Essex & Suffolk Water’s average bill for water services will increase by about 4p a week as its multimillion-pound AMP6 investment programme continues over the next five years.

Northumbrian Water has said that charges for customers for water and waste water services will remain amongst the lowest in the country with the announcement of its charges for 2015/16.

Anglian Water cuts bills by seven per cent

 Anglian Water customers will see their annual bill drop by £29 on average after the water company announced prices for the coming year will come down by 7 per cent.

United Utilities has started initial site investigation work this week for a potential major new pipeline near Keswick.

A new scheme which started yesterday in Northamptonshire heralds the start of a roll out of pressure management systems over the next five years by Anglian Water.

Ofwat has approved Portsmouth Water proposed scheme of charges for 2015/16 for domestic, non-household and wholesale tariffs.
