Siemens strengthens UK water sector presence

Siemens, Europe's largest engineering company, is strengthening its presence in the UK water sector via the merger of two of its existing businesses - Siemens Industry Automation and Water Technologies.

Pennon Group, owners of South West Water, say the Group’s financial performance since 30 September 2011 show it remains on track to meet management expectations.

Anglian Water has named Lincoln as the latest battle ground in its fight against the fat blocking the region’s sewers.

South East Water is considering whether to apply for additional drought measures in the face of falling aquifer and reservoir levels.

The Unite union has called on Balfour Beatty Engineering Services to negotiate during the legal pause of its ballot injunction.

Yorkshire Water is calling on the Government to help the water companies identify vulnerable customers.

Veolia Water leakage levels at record low

Veolia Water has announced that its leakage levels are at an all time low - more than 10% below the level required by Ofwat. 

Balfour Beatty will go to the High Court this morning with an injunction to restrain Unite the Union from proceeding with a strike voted for by 295 staff last week.

South East Water is pushing ahead with its compulsory Customer Metering Programme, with installations due to reach Haywards Heath and the Tonbridge and Malling area this month.
