Severn Trent Water has gone out to tender with with an AMP6 contract for flow measuring equipment which could run for up to 10 years extending into AMP7.
The contract covers the supply, installation and maintenance of network sewer monitoring equipment.
Severn Trent Water intend to install up to 5 000 sewer flow and level monitors in AMP6 to comply with statutory Event Duration Monitoring (EDM) requirements, and to provide the network intelligence that will help to reduce flooding and pollution incidents.
The water company is inviting tenders for the supply, installation and maintenance of sewer monitoring equipment.
The equipment must be able to meet the demands of various network scenarios (e.g. CSOs chambers, small dia. Section 24 sewers etc.) and provide a robust, whole-life cost effective solution.
The contract will run for an initial 3 year period, followed by 7 (seven) x 1 year extension options.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 29th May 2015. At this stage no information is available on the potential overall value of the contract.
