The Ministry of Defence has gone out to tender with a marine construction works contract worth up to £55 million.
The contract is for the design and construction of a new fuel jetty and approach bridge, mooring dolphins, dredged berth pocket, fuel pipelines and manifold for issue and receipt of oil fuels from Thankes Oil Fuel Depot by vessels up to 50 000 tons displacement.
The Works include associated provision of welfare facilities, power supply, CCTV communications, water supply, fenders and mooring equipment, capital dredge of berth pocket and demolition of existing jetty upon completion.
The MOD is looking to appoint up to 3 suppliers to carry out the work, which is worth between £45 million to £55 million
