High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd has gone out to tender for suppliers to undertake Water Framework Directive assessment surveys.
A WFD assessment of the HS2 proposed scheme has previously been undertaken for surface water and groundwater bodies as part of the main and supplementary environmental statements.
The previous WFD assessments were largely undertaken with desk based information. HS2 Ltd previously commissioned surveys of water bodies along the Phase One line of route to supplement the desk based assessment and confirm some of the conservative assumptions made within the Environmental Statements. The assessment to date has identified a number of locations where further survey and assessment is required.
The HS2 Technical Directorate Environment Team now requires an external organisation to undertake these surveys, resulting in a series of reports for each site.
Interested suppliers will first need to register with the HS2 eProcurement portal BravoSolution.
