United Utilities has gone out to tender with a contract for a range of water treatment chemicals worth up to £56 million.
The contract covers the supply and delivery of ferric sulphate, sodium di-hydrogen orthophosphate (or mono sodium orthophosphate), aluminium sulphate and ferral (or equivalent).
United Utilities is looking to appoint a maximum of 4 suppliers to the framework agreement, which will run for five years.
Estimated total value of purchases for the entire duration of the framework agreement is put at between £45 million to £56 million.
The agreement will be for a 3 year period with options to extend for 2 further 1 year periods.
