Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract field services software to integrate with existing front office functions and communicate with field service personnel worth an estimated £3 million.
The field service component is intended to integrate with front office functions allowing field service personnel to carry out a range of activities, including:
- accept, reject and update jobs sent to them
- get information about a customer, asset or premises involved in a job
- get information to support the job from a variety of internal and external sources, including photo, video
- identify equipment that is required to complete the job
- identify related jobs for the customer, at the asset/premise or in the vicinity
- report job status back to corporate functions
- ask for additional work to be carried out where applicable.
Initial contract is two years, with up to 5 additional years renewal options. The field services software is expected to last for more than 10 years, possibly up to 13 years before it is replaced.
