Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a filtration plant equipment contract for Ion Exchange Technology worth an estimated £40 million.
The water company has a requirement to include ion exchange technology for organics removal, in municipal water treatment for systems up to 100 Ml/day. The scope of supply includes the design, manufacture and commissioning of ion exchange plant and equipment and supply of ion exchange resin.
This scope will include all major and ancillary plant and accessories necessary to form and/or integrate a complete and robust system capable of organics removal in municipal water treatment into an existing water treatment works.
This contract is being tendered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1 Ion Exchange Technology Processes up to 1 Mld
- Lot 2 Ion Exchange Technology Processes above 1 to 100 Mld
- Lot 3 The Supply of Ion Exchange Resin for Municipal Water Treatment
Scottish Water is looking to appoint up to 10 suppliers to the framework agreement which will run for 96 months.
