Severn Trent Water tenders £6m corporate legal services contract

Severn Trent Water, Severn Trent plc and Dee Valley Water have gone out to tender with a contract for the provision of corporate, tax and treasury legal services worth an estimated £6 million.

The companies are looking to appoint a legal firm specialising in the practice areas of corporate and tax and treasury legal services. The firm will be expected to have experience of working within the water sector and have demonstrable experience in M&A, tax and treasury transactions. The firm is also expected to have an international presence (or be part of an international alliance) in a number of jurisdictions including the USA (New York).

Start date of the contract, which includes possible extension options, is  1st February 2018 concluding on 31st January 2021.
