The Highland Council in Inverness has gone out to tenders with a contract for a flood protection scheme worth an estimated £11 million.
The contract covers works at 4 separate locations on the Smithton Burn and Culloden Burn to provide a catchment wide flood protection scheme.
The works include the formation of two separate flood storage basins and the creation of a new wetland area.
