Southern Water has awarded a contract for scheduled and reactive maintenance of its biogas assets worth an estimated £6.4 million.
The scope of the contract covers biogas anaerobic plant at Southern Water Sludge Treatment Centres (STC) across the utility’s operational areas of Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Sussex and Kent. Assets covered under the contract include:
- planned maintenance of dual fuel boilers
- flare stacks
- gas boosters /compressors
- chillers
- double membrane gas holders
- Digesters
- Whessoe pressure release valves and associated pipe work and valves
Maidstone-based firm Delron Services Ltd has been awarded the contract – the supplier will also be required to provide a 24 hour 365 day emergency call-out response as an essential part of the ongoing annual maintenance.
