Thames Water has gone out to tender with a contract for consultants to work in its Capital Delivery Programme Management Office (PMO) as AMP7 Delivery Partners worth an estimated £13.5 million.
The water company is looking to engage consultants to fulfil roles within the PMO. Thames Water is implementing an intelligent client model with a client-led PMO for AMP7, which requires a progressive build of in-house programme and project capabilities. Appointed consultants will support transition and development and will be engaged on a secondment basis to provide personnel in the following functions:
- programme management
- governance and risk
- reporting and controls
- quality assurance
- business systems and processes
- benefits management
- change control
The consultants will also be required to assist in building Thames Water’s PMO capabilities, including:
- comprehensive transition plan
- assistance with the selection and training (where required) of PMO personnel
- development of PMO policies and processes.
Thames is looking to appoint up to four suppliers to the framework contract, which will run for an initial period of 5 years, with the potential for further annual extension options for a maximum of 3 years.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 27th January 2020 – click here to access the tender documentation.
