Anglian Water has awarded an AMP7 contract for hazardous waste removal worth an estimated £2.76 million.
The contract covers provision of a complete service to the water company for the planned and reactive identification, collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of hazardous waste from its sewer network and treatment centres,
The services will include tankering and disposal services, either directly or via a brokering service where third parties are required, including full responsibility for third party management and compliance.
Adler & Allan Ltd and Alpheus Environmental Ltd have both been awarded contracts, two of five companies in the bidding for the work.
