Thames Water has gone out to tender with an AMP7 framework contract for condition based maintenance services worth an estimated £1.3 million.

The utility is looking to appoint up to eight suppliers to the framework agreement who can provide condition monitoring devices and systems.
The contract for preventive maintenance services is being tendered in three separate Lots:
- Lot 1: supply of vibration analysis devices and systems
- Lot 2: supply of thermography devices and systems
- Lot 3: Provision of Electrical System Analysis
The aim is to implement the published CBM standard employing modern technology in both vibration and thermography which will cover:
- Vibration and process data analysis applied to circa. 1900 assets
- Oil analysis applied to circa. 2300 assets
- Thermography applied to circa. 27000 assets
Agreements will be for an initial term of 3 years with the option to extend up to a maximum of 8 years. The water company is looking to appoint up to eight suppliers to the framework – up to three Lots can be awarded to any individual suppliers.
