United Utilities has gone to tender with an AMP7 contract for telemetry outstations associated services worth an estimated £9 million in total.
The telemetry outstations collect data locally on a site – integrating into instrumentation and control systems – and service the Strategic Telemetry System (STS) within United Utilities’ Integrated Control Centre.
Dependent on the site being monitored, the outstations are required to provide the right level of scalability for the sites they are monitoring, and varying levels of intelligence to locally aggregate and disseminate plant data.
The contract is being tendered in six separate Lots as follows:
- Lot 1 - Supply and support of small outstations £3,216,000
- Lot 2 -Supply and support of medium outstations £3,916,000
- Lot 3 - Supply and support of large outstations £211,200
- Lot 4 - Support of legacy small assets £230,400
- Lot 5 - Support of legacy medium assets £230,400
- Lot 6 - Supply and support of dedicated pump controllers £1,195,200
Contracts awarded under the contract will run for up to 8 years.
