United Utilities has gone out to tender with an AMP7 framework contract for the supply of CHP engine parts worth an estimated £17.3 million.

Scope of the contract covers all goods / parts, consumables and mechanical components associated with repair and overhaul of the CHP engines required to support UU maintenance activities.
The contract is being tendered in three separate Lots:
Lot 1 - Supply of Genuine Jenbacher Engine Parts (£16,000,000)
Lot 2 - Supply of CHP Engine Parts – Ignition Products (£1,000,000)
4 Year Contract Term, with the option of a 4 Year Extension in 12 month increments
Lot 3 - Supply of CHP Engine Parts – Bursting Discs (£600,000)
The water company said onsideration would be given into categorising spares, to ensure for example that critical spares are held in stock by suppliers on behalf of United Utilities.
Initial contract term is 4 years with a further 4 year extension option in 12 month increments.
