The Agency has issued a Prior Information Notice inviting marine and coastal suppliers to express their interest in providing or arranging for the provision of services for the supply, transportation and placement of three annual campaigns of beach nourishment to the Lincolnshire coast between Saltfleet and Gibraltar Point.

Initial contract term will run from 2025 to 2027 with 2 additional 2 year extension options - the estimated total value stated includes the optional 4 year extension.
At the Environment Agency's option, the contractor may also be required to provide and deliver (or manage the provision and delivery through its supply chain) operation and maintenance services for coastal and marine assets falling within the Environment Agency Programme.
Scope of the wide-ranging contract includes:
- asset replacement, repair, refurbishment, and capital maintenance works
- supply, transportation and placement of beach material
- design and consultancy services
- engineering surveys and other investigations
- environmental and engineering design of works
- environmental assessment
- supply chain management
- construction engineering works
Interested suppliers must be able to demonstrate an understanding of current UK marine and water regulations, and have access to a local (i.e. within 12 nautical miles of the Lincolnshire coast) source of suitable sand.
Organisations must register their interest to participate in the market engagement exercise by no later than Friday 22 September 2023 - estimated date of publication of a formal contract notice is 5 February 2024.
