Natural Resources Wales has awarded a framework contract for Water Supervision Services 2025-29 worth an estimated £4.5 million (ex VAT).

Natural Resources Wales NRW) undertakes a diverse range of civil engineering works across its various functions covering the following portfolios:
- flood risk management
- water resources
- reservoir compliance
- land stewardship
- nature & climate emergency
NRW were looking to put a framework in place to facilitate the purchase of additional services that have been identified through continual improvement of its service requirements.
The framework is required by NRW to ensure continued access to supervision, contract management and project management resources to deliver projects and carry out essential services in the following areas:
- Flood risk management capital schemes and capital maintenance/repair of flood defence
- structures on main rivers and coastal areas
- Reservoirs Act (1975) compliance projects
- Hydrometric and telemetry assets construction and capital maintenance/repair
- Habitat management and creation and environmental land and water remediation
- Fish passage improvements
- Major estates infrastructure (e.g. bridges).
Arcadis Consulting (UK) Ltd and Ove Arup & Partners have been awarded a place on the framework, which runs for four years, two of threee companies in the bidding for the work.
