Severn Trent has launched a preliminary market engagement exercise on behalf of itself and sister company Hafren Dyfrdwy for the upcoming procurement of a framework for light commercial vehicles (LCV) for the utilities’ AMP8 Replacement & Growth Programme.

Scope of the procurement covers a wide range of vehicles including:

- Small Vans (EV, Hybrid & ICE)
- Medium Vans (EV, Hybrid & ICE)
- Large Vans (EV, Hybrid & ICE)
- 5T Vans (ICE)
- Pickup Trucks (4x4s) (EV, Hybrid, ICE & Hydrogen)
- Dropside Vans (EV, Hybrid & ICE)
Lease Options:
- Small Vans (EV)
- Medium Vans (EV)
- Large Vans (EV)
- Pickup Trucks (4x4s) (EV)
The water company says it is keen to engage with interested suppliers and is inviting them to complete an an online form - engagement deadline is 23 January 2026.
Severn Trent is flagging up that any future tender notice will be published - response to the pre market engagement is optional and does not contribute to any procurement process.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 30 April 2026 to 31 March 2030 with a further possible extension option to 31 March 2035.
