United Utilities has awarded an AMP8 contract for the supply, delivery and installation of biological treatment equipment with an total value of £582,000 (inc VAT).
The procurement is to ensure United Utilities is maintaining compliant levels of treatment at its Salford Wastewater Treatment Works. The company’s current solution consists of two MBBR rental units with ancillaries such as blower skids and control panels providing additional ammonia treatment capacity.
Scope of the new contract is for the supply, delivery and installation of biological treatment equipment for the works. Equipment covered under the contract can include MBBR units, DAF units, blower skids, pipework and other related items.
The contract has been awarded to Monmouth- headquartered firm Siltbuster.
Earliest date the contract will be signed is 27 January 2026 and estimated start and end contract dates are 27 January 2026 to 26 January 2027.
