Affinity Water has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract to put a Small Civils, Mechanical and Electrical Framework in place with an estimated value of £4 million (inc VAT).

The water company provides 943 million litres of water each day to a population of more than 3.99 million people, in parts of Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, the London Boroughs of Harrow and Hillingdon, parts of the London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing and Enfield, the Tendring peninsula in Essex and the Folkestone and Dover areas of Kent.
The water company, which provides 943 million litres of water each day to more than 3.99 million people, has a programme to maintain, upgrade and refurbish existing Non- Infrastructure assets. Subject to regulatory approval, the programme investment over the AMP8 period is projected to be £4 million (incl VAT).
The nature of work mix is for planning, design, procurement, build and commissioning noninfrastructure
works and is being tendered in 5 Lots:
- Lot 1 - Minor Civil - Repair, maintenance and installation of new civil Engineering assets and pipework.
- Lot 2 - Minor Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) - Cabling and installation of new assets,
- Lot 3 - Motor Control Centre (MCC) - Repairs and modifications of existing mechanical and electrical assets including MCC assets,
- Lot 4 - High Voltage (HV) - Installation of new HV assets, (excluding telemetry, software modifications to existing HV assets).
- Lot 5 - Integration, control and automation (ICA) - Design, installation, testing and commissioning of ICA software to include SCADA systems and associated hardware to include user interface and communication links.
The framework duration will be for a maximum of up to 4 years.
Affinity Water is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers in order to pre-qualify for a list of suitably qualified providers.

2. Register on Affinity Water’s e-procurement portal In-Tend, details of how to register will be provided via email once the above step 1 has been completed.
The deadline for Expression of Interest for the opportunity will close at 17:00 on 26 February 2026. Pre-qualification documents will not be issued until after the closing date and will only be sent to companies who have followed the requested 2 steps who will automatically receive the documents in due course.
Current estimated start and end dates are 15 June 2026 to 18 June 2029.
