Yorkshire Water awards AMP8 contract for maintenance and servicing of UV disinfection equipment

Yorkshire Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for the maintenance and servicing of UV disinfection equipmentat clean and waste water sites.

Scope of service to be provided under the contract include:

  • planned maintenance services (major and minor)
  • reactive maintenance
  • lamp changes
  • supply of spare parts

 

The contract was tendered in two Lots via the Achilles Utilities Vendor Data Base (UVDB ) system as follows:

Lot 1 - Xylem UV Systems

Scope covers 12 sites (coastal and inland) operating Xylem UV technology. TheLot also includes the routine cleaning activities performed at Yorkshire Water’s Scarborough, Filey, and Bridlington sites, reflecting their higher operational intensity and coastal sensitivity.

Lot 2 - Trojan UV Systems

Covers 3 sites, all operating Trojan UV disinfection technology, located primarily at coastal facilities

The contracts for both Lots may be extended by 2 years subject to performance, and business needs.
