Severn Trent Water has awarded two AMP8 contracts for Combined Heat and Power Units with a combined total value of £16.554 million including VAT.

The water company first went out to tender for the contract for the CHP (Combined Heat & Power) unit/engines requirements for its Bioresources area in August 2025.
The contract was first tendered in two separate Lots with a total estimated value of £34,2 million including VAT.
Lot 1 covered the supply and installation of CHP Units with an estimated value of £29,16 million including VAT. Lot 2 for engines only had an estimated value of £5.04 million including VAT.
Framework lot values may be shared with other lots
Scope of the contracts cover the purchase and installation of replacement CHP Units and supporting services.
The AMP8 contracts under Lot 1 have been awarded to Clarke Energy Ltd and Veolia Energy & Utility Services UK Ltd.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 28 April 2026 to 27 April 2031 with further possible extension options up to 27 April 2036.
Earliest date the contract will be signed is 28 April 2026.
