Scottish Water has awarded a major contract for odour treatment and control – the contract had an estimated value of £6 million (ex VAT) when it was tendered in October 2025.

Scope of the contract covers surveying, design, manufacturing, works testing (where required), delivery, offloading, installation, commissioning and testing of Odour Control and Treatment Plant and Equipment, associated Ventilation Plant and Equipment and all necessary ancillary equipment in accordance with relevant applications and Standards.

- Systems shall be suitable for the removal of odours associated with VOC, Hydrogen Sulphide and Sulphur Dioxide, and resistant to corrosion which can result from these compounds
- Thermal Oxidisation
The framework has been awarded on a Pan Scotland basis, including Highlands and Islands to ERG (Air Pollution Control) Ltd, one of three companies who tendered for the work.
